North Carolina-born quartet Jodeci made waves in the early ‘90s after signing a record deal with Uptown Records. The group released their debut album, Forever My Lady, in 1991. The record spawned three Billboard Hot R&B songs number 1 singles, including the gold-certified hit “Come & Talk to Me.” The single peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Jodeci’s highest-charting song on the chart. Meanwhile, the album sold over three million copies in the U.S., earning triple platinum status and becoming the group’s best-selling effort to date. During the rest of the ‘90s, Jodeci released two more studio efforts, the double-platinum certified Diary of a Mad Band and platinum-certified The Show, the After Party, the Hotel. Both albums topped the R&B charts and entered the Billboard 200’s Top 5. In 2015, Jodeci dropped their first album in over 20 years. The Past, the Present, the Future officially put an end to the group’s 28-year hiatus with phenomenal hits, such as “Nobody Wins” and “Every Moment.”

SWV is a sensational girl group responsible for incredible hits like “Right Here,” “Weak,” “You’re the One,” “I’m so Into You,” and many more. The group, comprising Cheryl Gamble, Tamara George, and Leanne Lyons, sold over 25 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful R&B girl groups during the ‘90s. In 1992, they released their debut album, It’s About Time. The record spawned their three megahits, “Right Here,” “Weak,” and “I’m So Into You.” The album sold over three million copies in the U.S., earning triple platinum certification in the process. SWV released four more critically-acclaimed albums, including their latest effort, Still, which was dropped in 2016.

Iconic septet, Dru Hill, is an award-winning group that made waves during the mid-'90s. They dropped their self-titled debut album in 1996 and released hit singles “In My Bed,” “Tell Me,” and “Never Make a Promise.” They followed their outstanding debut with an excellent sophomore effort, Enter the Dru. The album featured the hit “How Deep is Your Love?” which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B Albums chart. In 2010, the group released their last album, InDrupendence Day. Led by singles “Love MD,” “Remain Silent,” and “Back to the Future,” the album peaked at number 10 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart.
